A touch of craftiness ~

A couple at church is expecting their first child, a girl, very soon. I borrowed this idea from a dear friend, Julia, and made the G family a tutu for their angel Leah. I used lavender and cream tulle and sage green ribbon. I also made the baby shower cake, but those pics were uploaded to my FB page.
I also made two birthday cakes for dear friends two little boys. Her boys are 3 years apart...exactly...they share birth dates!

Aiden turned 3 and requested a Diego Clubhouse cake. Everything is edible except the cardboard base the clubhouse was built on, obviously the base the whole cake is on, the Diego candle, and the two plastic animals. Other than that, eat away!
Zach wanted a Star Wars Death Star cake for his 6th birthday. My friend purchased the ball cake pan made by Wilton for the Death Star. Considering the humidity, I think it turned out well. That and the fact that I am not a Star Wars buff so I had no idea what the Death Star was until they showed me pictures.

Great job on the tutu! I'm so glad you were able to make one. So easy, right? That same tutu is $30 at a boutique in Broken Arrow!
I love your cakes too- you are so creative!

I just had to laugh when you said you didn't know what the death star was :), but I'm way impressed with your cakes! You're quite talented! I enjoyed catching up on the goings on of your family. Take care!
