First Day of Pre-K!

It's official...my baby is in Pre-K...sniff, sniff!

Garrett is so excited to be going to momma's school now. We take Gunner to the ECC and then we head to Marrs. It's nice to have that little bit of alone time with him even though it really is just a little bit...seriously, like 2 minutes! I love that we are so close to the school and that the district has a daycare for teacher's kids...such a blessing! (Just a little side note...this pic was taken as we were going in the back door of the school where I park...the landscaping and the houses in the background are looking a little...um...shabby.)

This is Garrett and one of his buddies, Austin. Garrett and Austin have been in the same class since they were 1 at the ECC! As a matter of fact, there are 4 of them in his class who have been together for several years.
His teacher this year is Mrs. Jones and the assistant is Mrs. B. He really loves Pre-K. He is so grown up and independent now...kind of breaks my heart. So, Garrett has adjusted well and so has mommy. I held it all together when daddy and I took him to class...held it together as we walked back down to my classroom and past all of the other crying moms...held it together when Grant left to go to work...totally lost it when my dear friend and colleague across the hall, Joni, asked how Garrett did going to his class. Wow, I was a blubbering momma at that point!

This pic is of all the ECC kids after their first day of Pre-K. They are waiting to get on the bus. All teacher's kids attend AM Pre-K and then go to the ECC for the afternoon. Mr. Sean comes and picks them up and picks up the lunches for the ECC. They all love getting to ride the big school bus! It is a blessing too because they are the only kiddos on there so it makes for a positive first-time bus experience.

L-R: Austin, Wynter, Spencer, Garrett, and Shelby. Pre-K had a pirate theme this year...can ya tell? Garrett and Spencer are giving their best "Arghhh" for me.

I need to get a picture of Garrett with his teacher. He didn't want me to take one on the first day of school.
