Lions, and Tigers, and KIDS! Oh, My!

We took a little trip to the zoo a week or so ago and I'm a little delayed on getting our pictures up...so sorry! We had some special friends join us that day which made the trip even better. Kristina brought along her two precious little girls, Kaylee and Zoey. Kaylee is 6 months younger than Garrett and Zoey is 8 months younger than Gunner. Joni with her adorable little girl Blythe also came. Blythe is just 3 months younger than Gunner. As you can see, we all have kids close in age range which makes for some fun trips!

This is Joni and Miss B:
Joni teaches across the hall from me at school. It's been wonderful to get to know her more and to get to experience fun outings with her and her little one.

Gunner loved the flamingoes and started using his pointer finger for the first time at the zoo today! EXCITING! He also says "Look" when he points at something! YEA! (Still not sayin' momma, but we've added look to the vocabulary!)
Look at that face:
Here's Miss B smiling away in the Primate and Aviary building...which was a tad on the smelly side!
Yes, Joni and Kristina, we visited that building at the beginning of our trip. Remember? Wait, no, you didn't remember...so we went back to it at the end of the day...and had to push our strollers up the insanely steep hill...again...when my stroller had 80 lbs. of kids on it...not that I'm bitter or anything! LOL! Fun times, fun times!

Garrett blowing raspberries on the train ride:

Garrett was FASCINATED with the turtles and fish swimming in the large tanks:

Gunner on the carousel *before* it started...a touch fuzzy...oops!

Me and Gunner baby on the train ride...he LOVED the train and it made for a nice cool breeze!

Garrett and Kaylee checkin' out the flamingoes...

We had a terrific day...aside from Garrett's orneriness and Gunner's, um, accident on the carousel...it was a keeper of a day!

Well I am so happy to see a pic of Joni's baby...her and Ross were at the last 4th of July and she was PG at the time. Looks & sounds like you all had a great time!
