Day 6...Part One: O'Hana's for breakfast!!!

We wanted to do a character meal with the kids. We booked breakfast at O'Hana's at Disney's Polynesian Resort. It said buffet on the info I saw online. It wasn't your average buffet...and THANK GOODNESS! First of all, O'hana means family in Hawaiian. If you've watched Lilo & Stitch you know that already. Breakfast is all family style. It is a buffet, but at your table. They started us out with juice, coffee, milk, an amazing fruit tray, and super yummy sweet bread. Then they brought our tables huge skillets of eggs, potatoes, sausage, bacon and biscuits and came by separately with Mickey Mouse waffles. They would refill anything you wanted and right away. They food was yummy, we weren't constantly out of our seats filling plates, refilling plates, and fixing stuff for the kids.

There were 4 characters at breakfast: Lilo, Stitch, Mickey, and Pluto. The great thing about it...they came to you! You were told when you were sat that they would make their rounds. It is individual. You weren't trying to push your kid to the front or getting ran over by some other kid and you didn't have twenty bazillion kids and parents you didn't know in your pictures! They took their time, let us take lots of photos, autographed the boys' books, and actually made it around to our table twice.

Here is my dad, Gunner, Pluto, and Garrett. I think Gunner was making sure Pluto was okay and not going to get him or something. He wasn't so sure about Stitch, but Stitch is sort of scary looking so I don't blame Gunner at all.
They also did a parade with maracas twice. You can't see the boys in this one.
The Polynesian Resort had a lot of character. Even though we didn't stay there, we took a lot of photos on our way out. Here are the boys with some Tiki-like statue.
The whole family in front of a gorgeous waterfall in the lobby area. (They gave out leis when you got to O'Hana's and also took a large group pic.)
Me and Gunner baby with Garrett in the background.
I have heard that O'Hana's has an amazing dinner as well with huge skewers of meats and a great atmosphere but without characters.
